Our Committment to You, our guests, as we navigate through Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Dear Current and Future Guests at The Lodges at Gettysburg,

Temporary Closure from March 21 through April 18, 2020

As always, the health and safety of our guests remain our highest priority. We continue to closely monitor the fluid developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Adams County, Pennsylvania, where we are located, recently reported its first case of COVID-19.  Many cities and states around the nation have ordered or strongly urged the temporary closure of non-essential facilities including hotels and other transient lodging. Based on these facts, we will be closing all our property beginning Saturday, March 21, 2020 and will remain closed until April 19, 2020.  We will continue to monitor closely the developing situation and will swiftly modify our closure plans to respond to changing conditions and to implement any new guidance being provided by health or government officials.

While we believe we have taken every reasonable precaution and have done everything possible to mitigate contamination and transmission of COVID-19 at The Lodges, we have concluded that temporarily ceasing our operations is the best means of ensuring the health and safety of our guests, staff, and community. As noted above, our closure will be temporary and we plan to reopen on April 19, 2020 unless new developments compel us to extend the closure. When we reopen, we will continue to implement the stringent health protocols described below.

PLEASE NOTE:   Phone systems will continually be monitored as we continue to answer questions regarding our many groups and take reservations for dates in the future.    Telephone hours will be 8am – 4pm Monday-Friday.   Please also feel free to email questions regarding reservations us at [email protected].   You may also continue to make reservations via our website.   Our sales department continues to operate from home.

Your Health and Travel Safety

We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures consistent with the advice provided by global and local public health authorities to make our cleaning and hygiene practices even more rigorous:

  • Our team is receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols as more is learned about the virus.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including lobbies, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.) and have continued the use of hospital-grade disinfectant.
  • We will continue to adjust food and beverage service in accordance with current food safety recommendations.
  • We have increased the deployment of antibacterial hand sanitizers.

At The Lodges we recognize that the power of hospitality is even more important during these challenging times. Our plan is to reopen our haven of calm and serenity in our secluded 63-acre setting on April 19th barring further developments. As ever, our team members will be ready to welcome you with the hospitality for which The Lodges is renowned.
