Battlefield Walking Tours:
Gettysburg is most famous for the Civil War battle that took place in this town in 1863.
Information can be found by going to the site for the Gettysburg National Military Park.
Battlefield Reenactments:
The largest Civil War reenactment is the famous July 4th weekend event.

Bicycling:
The Lodges at Gettysburg have many fine trails and paved paths. The local community is a fine location for a casual country ride. Many additional rides are available for the more adventurous and can be found at The Gettysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Ghost Tours:
Gettysburg has often been called the most haunted place in America with numerous written about ghosts in Gettysburg. Many of which have become ghost tours through the streets of historic Gettysburg. In September 2008, Haunted America Tours specifically named The Borough of Gettysburg the third most haunted city in America. The Gettysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau has a complete list of ghost tours.
Golf:
Gettysburg is blessed with an abundance of great golf courses all conveniently located within a 5 to 15 minute drive from the Lodges at Gettysburg.

Hiking:
A variety of walking paths are on site at The Lodges at Gettysburg. Take a quiet peaceful hike anytime on site and feel the history of the area below your feet.

In addition, there are a large number of other hiking trails in the local Gettysburg area.
